Intellectual Property


All content, software, technology, trademarks, logos, reports, research, and materials provided by Unit6 remain the property of Unit6 or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

Nothing in these terms grants ownership rights to Unit6 intellectual property.

Customers retain ownership of their own data and information submitted to Unit6.


Threat Intelligence & Security Research


Unit6 provides intelligence, analysis, and security findings intended to support informed decision-making.

While we strive for accuracy and timeliness:

  • Intelligence findings may change as new information becomes available

  • Threat assessments represent professional analysis, not guarantees

  • Customers remain responsible for security decisions and remediation actions

  • Unit6 cannot guarantee the prevention of all cyber incidents

Security outcomes depend on numerous factors outside Unit6’s control.


Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Maintaining appropriate security controls

  • Protecting access credentials

  • Reviewing findings and recommendations

  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations

  • Evaluating business decisions based on intelligence provided

Unit6 acts as a security partner and advisor but does not assume operational responsibility for customer environments unless explicitly agreed in writing.


Availability of Services


We strive to maintain reliable access to our platform and services.

However, Unit6 does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and reserves the right to:

  • Perform maintenance and upgrades

  • Modify or improve services

  • Suspend access when necessary for security reasons

  • Discontinue features or functionality

Reasonable efforts will be made to communicate significant service interruptions.


Confidentiality


Both Unit6 and customers may exchange confidential information during the course of engagement.

Each party agrees to:

  • Protect confidential information using reasonable safeguards

  • Use confidential information only for intended business purposes

  • Limit disclosure to authorized personnel who require access

Confidentiality obligations remain in effect after termination of services unless otherwise agreed.


Limitation of Liability


To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unit6 shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Loss of profits or revenue

  • Business interruption

  • Loss of data

  • Security incidents caused by factors outside Unit6’s control

Unit6’s total liability relating to any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the applicable services during the preceding twelve months.


Third-Party Services


Unit6 may integrate with or reference third-party platforms, services, or content.

We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party service availability

  • Third-party security practices

  • Third-party content accuracy

  • Changes made by external providers

Use of third-party services remains subject to their respective terms and policies.


Termination


Unit6 reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to services if:

  • These terms are violated

  • Access creates security risks

  • Required payments are not made

  • Continued service would violate applicable laws or regulations

Upon termination, access to services may be revoked immediately.


Governing Law


These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Unit6 operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
